Located in the beautiful and historic Boyne Valley, County Meath,  where the history of Ireland was written, the eight luxurious Decoy Country Cottages provide an authentically Irish haven of peace away from the stresses of everyday life. Only 30 minutes Dublin City Centre, 30 minutes from Dublin airport, and 50 minutes from Dublin port, these cottages provide the ideal balance between rural tranquility and modern facilities, making them an ideal venue for our hands-on immersive food and writing workshops.

Accommodation in the cottages is in double en suite rooms, with one shared bathroom per two double rooms.  All cottages are individually designed with vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms and oak or marble floors throughout.  Other facilities on site include:

  • Indoor games room and gym
  • Day Spa
  • BBQ area garden and boules
  • Free WiFi internet access
  • Geothermal underfloor for all  heating and hot waer
  • Flat screen TV, DVD and VHS player and CD player that takes MP3 in each cottage
  • Car parking is provided in a secure area outside the courtyard

The cottages are well located between the N2 and N3 national primary routes within easy reach of many of Ireland's most important historic and medieval sites. There are also many championship golf courses within easy reach including Royal Tara, Killeen Castle, Baltray and Headford. The beach is 25 minutes away.  The holiday cottages are ideal for touring the many historical sites in the area such as Tara, Newgrange, Trim, Slane and Kells, but also make an ideal base to explore Dublin - just 30 minutes away.  For those who wish to travel a little further afield, Decoy Cottages also serve as an excellent base to explore the plains of Kildare (home of the Curragh racecourse), or perhaps the lakes of Westmeath where excellent fishing is available.

Further information is also available on how to get to the cottages and the programme for the weekend.
